PORCH ROCKER
Perfect for any summer day, our Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by our summer trips to Germany where traditional Bavarian Radlers are enjoyed in a variety of local beer gardens. A Radler is beer mixed with German-style lemonade or lemon soda and is most often enjoyed during summer months due to its refreshing quality. Our bright and citrusy Radler has a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this satisfying summer brew.
To create our Porch Rocker, we first brewed a Helles beer. The Helles style originated in Germany and the name actually translates to "light colored." Our Helles is a straw-blond lager with a light maltiness and subtle hop note. But to turn this brew into a Radler, we added our own hand-crafted lemon blend (yes, we do use real lemons) to create the best balance of sweetness, subtle tartness, and effervescence.
Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker will be available in 6-packs and will be hitting shelves any dady now. Thinking about food pairings? We recommend a sharp cheddar or a fresh seafood dish such as calamari or cod. Grilled chicken also pairs well.
